The Assistant Manager will support the General Manager in ensuring that all daily operating procedures are performed as required. The Assistant Manager will also promote a company image of excellence through a strong work ethic, leadership by example, and the consistent delivery of exceptional customer service and store visual presentation. They will maximize sales through the development and supervision of sales staff. They are also responsible for ensuring transactions are carried out in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Adhere to company SOP and compliance rules extensively
  • Hold employees accountable for their role and duties
  • Explore opportunities for growth of business
  • Opening and closing the store
  • Supervise, manage, and direct the activities of sales team
  • Manage and inspire staff to deliver the highest level of customer service and satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local, state/provincial, and federal laws and regulations
  • Assist with customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Liaise with law enforcement, vendors, landlords, and local community as needed
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of all strains and products in store inventory as well as industrywide product and trend knowledge
  • Assist in employee performance reviews
  • Assist in hiring and training new employees
  • Knowledge of Massachusetts cannabis industry and guidelines set forth by CCC
  • 2+ years of retail business experience
  • Retail management experience preferred
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Problem solving skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Must possess valid driver’s license or state ID
  • Must pass any and all required background checks
